This answers one question, how strong is the destination today? For Pasir Gudang, I gave a score of seven point six out of ten.
Why? Because the destination already has remarkable assets.
It has a strong industrial identity.
It has coastal landscapes, mangroves, fishing communities, rich multicultural food, history connected to Johor's maritime development.
And importantly, Pasir Gudang has proudly hosted the World Kite Festival every year since nineteen ninety-five, making it one of the district's most distinctive tourism events and an international point of recognition.
Those are genuine strengths.
However, when I evaluated visitor readiness, I also looked at areas such as availability of bookable local experiences, international digital visibility, ah, accommodation diversity, and the variety of experience products available to visitors.
These areas present opportunities for growth.
That is why the overall score is seven point six.
Not because the destination lacks value, but because there is significant room to unlock more of its potential.
