And yet, I noticed that a lot of the kids in Norway ate this candy all the time.
And I started talking to other people who grew up there at the time.
My partner, she was Norwegian.
And she said, oh, yeah, I grew up on that stuff.
It was just lovely.
It brings back all sorts of great memories.
And I'm like, it would bring me trauma.
But we had such a different context for holding this as far as what it was.
I had aversion.
She had attraction.
And that is what the second foundation of mindfulness and the fourth foundation of mindfulness is about, is a very, very simple way to talk about human experience of pleasant or unpleasant or neutral.
