But before we get into that, let's dive into the ratings report from the last couple of weeks.
When we last left you, we were at the beginning of May, and now we are talking about the ratings that dropped for the week of May 11th through May 15th, and these are the ratings.
In total viewers-For that week, GH averaged 1,897,000 viewers, down 104,000 viewers from the week before.
BTG were down 22,000 viewers as they averaged 1,605,000 viewers up, still 33,000 viewers from this time last year.
In the day-to-day numbers, in women 18 to 49, these were the numbers for "Beyond the Gates" on Monday through Friday.
In women 25 to 54, the numbers were Monday, 0.26. Tuesday and Wednesday, 0.27. Thursday, 0.30, and Friday, 0.25. For GH in women 18 to 49 on Monday through Friday, the numbers were Monday 0.20, Tuesday 0.22, Wednesday 0.18, Thursday 0.16, and Friday was a 0.18.
In women 25 to 54, the numbers were on Monday and Tuesday 0.27, on Wednesday 0.25, on Thursday 0.24, and on Friday they drew another 0.25. Jasmine, your thoughts on these numbers from a few weeks ago.
[sighs] It's so crazy to me how these soap operas are, like, always, like, right on top of each other.
Like obviously, o-obviously it's, it's, uh, it's frustrating.
Like it's really, really frustrating that we're at a point where, uh, where BTG is like still getting, you know, getting beat by GH in the regards with it, like GH remaining on top.
But I, I do have to ig- I do have to continue to acknowledge that at least BTG is in a better place than they had been, like, over the last several months because of the way that, you know, the way that the numbers are so close.
'Cause I would, I guess I c- I guess I have to say, like, I would rather the numbers be closer than further away because it's like we know that, that BTG does have a chance of surpassing, uh, surpassing GH and I'm hoping that that happens soon.
Like I, 'cause like I thought it was gonna really happen, you know, with all the stuff with the cotillion, but it, like, it, it didn't necessarily.
But then it's like, I'm hoping n- it's like now I'm like, I'm hoping that the crossover brings that.
So we'll see.
But it, it's funny 'cause like I keep on thinking like, I keep thinking, you know, like which, which moment is it gonna be for, for everyone that's gonna make BTG come out on top again? And I'm h- like I said, I'm really hoping that that's the one that it's gonna, you know, that's gonna do it because I'm hoping that those people who tune in to Y&R are gonna tune in to BTG so that they can see the people that they like on Y&R on BTG.
So it's like it translates to the viewership.
That will be the lure and the hook because you have to promote, "Oh, our characters are gonna be on this show.
Let's tune in at 2:00." Unfortunately, nothing's gonna carry over to Y&R the next day, but you can still focus on BTG to see your characters from Y&R on Tuesday through Friday of this week.
