Welcome this morning to Worship is Warfare.
We're gonna read from Psalm 139, just one verse this morning.
What, what does God think about? What does He give His focused attention? What does the Almighty of the universe ponder? I think that's a fantastic question.
Most of us probably wouldn't ever even wonder what God's thoughts are because we're endlessly concerned with our own thoughts.
[laughs] I know I am.
He gave thought to you and how you were formed.
The world, if you noticed, is constantly attacking your physical body.
Look a different way.
Alter your appearance.
I mean, I don't know what exactly the dollars are, but it's gotta be billions of dollars that go into plastic surgery, people telling you you need to change how you look all the time.
And the Bible says, "No, you were formed in your inward parts by the purposeful, thoughtful creation of the Almighty of the universe." "You knitted me together in my mother's womb" is what verse 13 says.
And what happen, what happens when our thoughts become God's thoughts? Well, it tells us in Isaiah 36 verse 3 You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you.
Your life has peace.
Second, we, we begin to create.
So a mind that ponders God is a mind that is full of new works, and creation, and building.
And then finally, verse 24 of Psalm 139, we are led in the way everlasting.
We are led to a purpose and a mission that is beyond earthly concerns.
