Beth EnglishHostTo answer this question, I think it's important that we give credit where it's due.
People may not know, but before Beth's position at the Organization of American Historians, or the OAH, one of her many accomplishments was being the creator, host, and producer of Working History, which was the podcast of SLSA for many years.
And so I hope that in the weeks between episodes that are forthcoming to our new audiences, that folks take a minute and listen to some of your old recordings.
But if we take the product that you created and, you know, you've gone to the OAH and we fast forward six years later, it's, you know, 2025.
We are reinvigorating the organization with different ways to engage members.
And as I was looking at things, the podcast had kind of we had restarted it, but it wasn't really moving.
And I knew I needed to make the decision of whether to sunset the podcast or to go all in.
In December, I cold emailed Julie and told her my idea and told her about how great working history had been and that I think that it could fill a really important space.
She was supportive of the idea and had sent her an email just a few days prior suggesting a webinar series that united LACHA and Labor and ILWICH.
