It is the ability to recognize what is true for us Understand the choices that we are making.

And how do we take responsibility for what needs to happen next in our businesses, in our lives? The challenge is that gaps in our self-leadership are not always obvious to us.

the conversations that we're just putting up with and we don't like prioritize getting clear on and saying what we really want, like the conversations we avoid, the decisions we delay.

And we're talking not just months here, but years, like that gnawing, nagging feeling in the back of our mind or our gut feel on something.

But we kind of just get busy doing the do and then we're like, okay, there's that thing that I'm not tackling or not even examining.

And also the places where we are waiting for reassurance, approval, encouragement, permission.

As leaders, we're going to be breaking some paradigms and that's going to be uncomfortable.

And it's just really, really helpful to notice where we're waiting for somebody else.

In our society, we weren't brought up to be critical thinkers and to act on our own hunches.

So this is a pattern and a habit and embodied pattern that we have to work on as business leaders.

So all of these small blind spots can add up and create a surprising amount of confusion and stuckness in our lives and businesses.

So, you know, we're troopers, we keep going and we'll override that confusion, which makes a lot of our results and impact kind of sporadic.

So in this episode, we're going to invite you to pause and ask yourself a set of questions.
