Welcome to Women in Retail Talks, the podcast where C-suite executive women in the retail space share their stories of professional growth, leadership development, personal journeys, and more.
I'm Melissa Campanelli, the co-founder of the Women in Retail Leadership Circle, which is a membership-based community of senior-level women in retail.
And today I'm joined by Laura Geller, the acclaimed American makeup artist, entrepreneur, and founder of Laura Geller Beauty.
Born in the Bronx and raised in the New York area, Laura built her career working in television and theater, including on Broadway productions and programs across major networks such as CBS, NBC, and HBO.
In 1993, she opened Laura Geller Makeup Studios on Manhattan's Upper East Side and quickly became known for making beauty approachable, inclusive, and easy for everyday women.
She launched Laura Geller Beauty on QVC in 1997, where she became a pioneer in bringing primer into women's makeup routines with her iconic spackle collection.
She's also known for her cult favorite baked cosmetics, handmade in Italy and loved by women for more than two decades, including me.
