Wet mounting scope rings is gaining attention in the precision rifle world—but does adding lubricant between your scope mount and Picatinny rail actually improve the installation, or are we giving up…
I am going to try to make this as efficient and effective as possible, but there's actually a lot to talk about.
One of the things that we've seen in the class here, and think of the podcast here about our way of sharing with you all kinds of tips and tricks to get you the best from your rifles, some food for thought on building it, maintaining it, and how you apply all of these parts and pieces.
We're not sure if it was part of the suppressor or the threading for the suppressor.
We basically took care of the entire rifle and tore the whole thing down and put it all back together again during the class, trying to solve why this thing wasn't repeating, why it wasn't tracking.
You know, we're almost to the point where we're going to end up having to have the customer use one of the school rifles.
We just accepted the fact that it was probably a minute and a half gone and ran with it.
But one of the things that I seen when we pulled his scope off was the wet mounting that is recommended by Area 419.
Now, before I go down this road, I wanna say, hey, we've used Area 419 stuff in the past.
This is a subject with one of the things and processes that they're using and I want people to know that this might not be the right choice.
I want you to think about this for a little bit, and then you make your decision in Q&As.
