The Practical Tactical Shooter Challenge is returning to Wolf Precision this fall. In this episode, Jamie explains what makes this one-day, match-style event different—including challenging stages…
So our shooting season, or at least our announcements for our dates, run from the end of July to the end of July.
We announce our dates for each year right about at the end of July for the 20, let's just say 2027 shooting season, as well as any late fall stuff.
One of the reasons we do that is simply because it takes sometimes six to nine months to get those days off of work.
We also offer our early bird special, so if you sign up before December 31st, you get $50 off, which is our way of saying thank you for signing up early and just looking forward to having everybody coming through.
We have a crew coming out, and September 4th or so they're coming out with some heavy equipment.
We're-- we've got really big plans to having a really awesome shooting facility where we can really have some fun with clients that wanna come in and actually throw their hat in the ring and have some fun with the rifles, learn new talents, put their skill set to test.
Sometime mid-November, we are gonna kick off our fall Practical Tactical Shooters Challenge.
All the years that I've shot matches, I've had all these different stages that we've shot and competed in where I've learned something, where I thought it was a skill set that was worthwhile, and just some of the stages are just absolutely flat out fun to shoot.
And so what we did over the years, and we haven't done one in a couple years, is we offered a match that we call our Practical Tactical Shooters Challenge, where I really get to put out there all the fun stuff that we get to do, some of the challenging stages that I just love to shoot or compete with, or maybe different stages to get customers accustomed to match shooting or matches themselves.
And so it's a great way to throw your hat in the ring, enjoy yourself with your rifle, get some fantastic shooting in in one day.
So one-day event, and we'll have a grand winner, and then we'll have a, a day event winner.
So for each day, we'll, we'll be giving out, uh, an award, and then we'll have the high, high shooter for both days.
But what it allows us to do is really bring people in and enjoy the time, you know, teaching them and showing them and working on all these different stages that we're gonna shoot in, and in a match type format, but without all the pressure of having peers around or being a, a, a sanctioned match where there's points on the line, there's all this other stuff.
