Discover how Wolf Precision's Build Assist Program teaches you to assemble, maintain, and confidently operate your custom rifle. In this episode, Jamie explains how the program works, why it was…
So one of the things that separate us from every other gunsmith in the country is the fact that we offer a program called a Customer Build Assist.
What this program really was designed to do was allow the customer that's building such a high-end rifle or such high-quality parts the opportunity to come in and take part in doing the full assembly and learning all about the rifle, not just from the range, but from the bench.
knowing how to build it, how to replace and take care of parts, how to change out barrels and calibers, how to properly clean it, how to put it back together after you properly clean it, what chemicals you use, how to put your scope on properly, how to make sure everything's tight and spec.
It really is... it's one of those things that either you know how to take care of it or you go back to the old days where you know take my dad and his dad before him once you got your scope and everything on there and zeroed the gun you didn't touch anything you didn't tear it apart you didn't take it you know take the scope off for any reason you didn't even change your zero you left everything alone because if you did any of that or changed anything is the rifle going to perform the same So it gives you that confidence, not only to learn all about the rifle, but then in the future to take care of it properly and even to change up parts and pieces and all that great stuff that you're probably going to want to do anyway.
So the build assist is a one day event in which you're going to come in in the morning with your components and you're going to build your rifle here under our guidance.
What we're going to try to do is set it up that we do it on a Friday, maybe once or twice a month.
So as customers, rifles and components, get completed, we just schedule it at will.
So for example, we had a customer that came in today, this morning to do the build assist.
We had a customer, I believe last Friday, come in and do a complete build with us.
And if he's listening to the podcast, he wants to chime in down below with some comments, that would be great.
He learned how to change and maintain all the parts, which he's never done before.
And at the range, we ran a steel the whole way out to a thousand yards and back again with no misses.
So prior to coming into the build assist, he had never shot in beyond 300 yards.
And I should invite him on to the podcast here just to do an interview if I can steal him to talk a little bit about his experience.
You know, I think he's going to run the whole way out and back again and do really, really well.
