Michaela Gaffen StoneHostLya ChristiansenGuestWell, I would honestly say to start with, the biggest thing is in change, any kind of change, the biggest thing to start with or the biggest step is awareness.
Actually really take a moment to sit back and actually look at what's going on.
And you take a lot of, you know, when you're under fear and you're working so hard to be accepted into the tribe.
And does it actually work for you? Or does it keep you minimized? Does it keep you small? Does it keep you doing things that aren't good for your system? That's probably the biggest thing I would say right off the get-go.
And that would probably be the biggest thing I would say in these conversations isn't about telling people what to do.
And, you know, whether that is the case with a lot of people, you know, it's actually pulling back and looking at it and inspecting my experiences is what really made me go, hold on, this system is not serving me.
And, you know, maybe that's and I'm not going to, you know, there is individuals, there's a lot of individuals that do better in those settings, if that's the case, great, you know, wonderful.
The people who do better in that system are probably the ones who are in charge of some aspect of perpetuating that system.
Because I don't honestly think that anybody who is living according to somebody else's rulebook, and you can absolutely put Bible in there, if you're living according to that rulebook and someone else's interpretation of it, then you are under someone's thumb.
You are living your life according to their restrictions and their allowances and so on and so forth.
It doesn't have anything to do with what's good for your life, what you came here to do.
And if you believe that that's true, that you are actually part of a bigger machine, okay, then you probably feel at home there.
And feeling comfortable is sometimes a bit of a cop-out, right? It's just like, oh, this will do.
