And I remember back in 2017, I was teaching a lunchtime dance club at a particular school.

And when it came to, when it's raining, we would have to become general lunch staff because everyone would be indoors and we had to keep an eye on them.

They didn't have the staffing capacity for us to still do our clubs at the same time.

But this particular summer, the temperatures went up to what was then considered a scorching 31 degrees centigrade.

And the kids needed to stay inside to be safe because it was just too hot for them to be outside.

And even though the school had taken measures to keep the building cool, it was still absolutely horrendous.

And I was working as a lunchtime supervisor because we couldn't run the dance club and it was too hot to do it anyway.

And nine years on, this has climbed to highs of 41 degrees in some parts of the UK.

But what can we do? I want to assume that most of us pagans are very environmentally conscious.

But I've seen a lot of posts online which suggest otherwise, either from influencers who've just gone completely rogue, neophyte witches just not thinking things through, experience witches not thinking things through, and a lot of my friends in the community who are just completely losing it over all the others.

So I wanted to dedicate an episode of the podcast to what we should be doing as witches to preserve our environment.
