I invite you to close your eyes if it feels comfortable and safe.
Otherwise, a soft gaze on the floor in front of you is fine.
And just taking a moment, oftentimes on these Tuesdays, it's the first time I've sat down and taken an intentional breath.
So let's take a community collective breath together in through the nose and out through the mouth.
One more time in through the nose.
And last one in.
And out.
Just taking a moment to feel what that did for your body as we find a comfortable seat and find a moment to reflect inward.
I'll start with a brief body scan.
And this weekend I was in my living room and the windows were open and there was a fantastic breeze.
So I want you to imagine that there's a breeze that starts sort of at the top of your head.
Maybe you feel its coolness and it eases some tension in the scalp and the temples.
That breeze brushes along your face as you let your eyes rest.
Soften the jaw.
Maybe unclench the teeth.
The breeze continues to sweep down your neck, easing tension here.
As it travels down your back.
And shoulders.
Feeling the breeze as you.
Feel yourself breathe in and out.
With each inhale.
The chest rising in every exhale releasing.
The breeze sort of sweeps across your belly as it softens.
There's no need to hold any tension here.
Just let gravity do what it does.
