Russell C. Davis has claimed that he'd never written anything for it, which appears to contradict statements in Doctor Who magazine.
Statements that he
made saying, yes, we've written it, and it'll be a hoot.
Yeah, and it features these words.
I don't remember him saying that, but have you got
that, have you?
It's somewhere, yeah.
No.
And the show is not going to have a Christmas special.
It's not coming back any time soon, and it's being put out to tender.
Do we need a crying one? I've got quite a lot of thoughts on this.
So we've had quite a lot of comments and audio clips in from people with their thoughts, which has been great.
So I haven't listened to them yet.
So I'm looking forward to hearing those in a bit.
But let's start with you, Paul.
How are you
feeling? What, about the whole thing?
Yeah.
i think it's fine the only thing i'm really disappointed about is that we're not going to get a christmas special because i don't care if it might have been an absolute train wreck or a car crash or whatever um but it might not have been it's in a quantum state could have been this it could have been that as it happens it's now not going to be anything so you know okay that's that's disappointing we're not going to get any new doctor on tv this year i think also as you said it's going to be a few years anyway but i was kind of prepared for that because It was always going to be a few years.
We don't have another streaming partner or whatever it is.
So that was always on the cards.
That was always part of the future.
Again, it's all that kind of quantum flux thing.
I think the whole idea then of actually bringing that process forward now, putting it out to tender, or maybe they were doing it anyway and now just kind of announced it.
I don't think it's a bad thing at all.
