Laura Hambley LovettHostI mean, there's so much that is scary about our future as humans, and we can get caught up in so much fear.
And what fear does, fear makes us do one of three things, fight, flight, or freeze.
With fight, we get angry, we get aggressive, we get short-fused, we lose our cool, our tempers are short.
Yet, can we really fight this unstable world? The fighting is to no avail.
Aggressive behavior and conflict goes up when we go into that fight mode.
We just can't get ourselves up to go to that yoga class, to go to the gym, to go on that walk, to go for lunch with a friend.
We get into that freeze mode where we just can't do much at all with ourselves other than just survive.
We can get caught up in social media, just scrolling endlessly through videos.
We can end up getting into drugs, alcohol, addictive behaviors, shopping addictions, gambling, whatever it is to flee from the reality that we find ourselves in.
So fight, flight, or freeze, none of those three are a great solution to really get grounded during these uncertain and tricky times that we find ourselves in.
