What Would They Do? The Customer Experience Podcast For Online Business
Sep 28, 2026 · 12 min · 8 segments
If you have a growing list of offers in your business and a nagging feeling that half of them simply aren't pulling their weight anymore, this episode is going to hit close to home. In this honest…
The truth is AI has changed what people need help with and how they want to be helped.
So that's had a huge impact on self-paced courses specifically, which is what I had been pushing in my business over the last few years.
Not necessarily with my perspective and the data and the insights that come with the toolkit and with the strategies that I present in my toolkits.
But in the scheme of things, Claude and Chad are doing such a great job to persuade people that they know everything that all of a sudden that perspective isn't necessarily as valuable on the surface.
They want accountability and they want someone who look at their unique situation and then tell them what to do with it.
So my lineup of Courses, toolkits, online courses used to sell regularly really well via evergreen funnels that I had built and then also tweaked over the years without me having to lift a finger.
So I had an evergreen sequence running in the background, like an evergreen nurture sequence that then would pay attention to the signals people were sending me and then adding them to those evergreen funnels.
And based on that interest and the timeliness, people would then buy into those courses.
But these evergreen funnels and sales mechanisms haven't been working the same way simply because I am trying to sell courses and toolkits off the back of those sequences that aren't in the right context and the right format anymore.
I just think we need to accept that the value of online courses has evolved and the shape, format, delivery of those courses has to evolve as well.
So what I had to realize over time is that my online courses and toolkits not selling won't be fixed by making tweaks to those evergreen funnels that I was just talking about.
