Week of June 29: Bulging

Hello Jepperdudes and Jepperdorks.

Welcome to what is a Jeopardy podcast where we make fun of the smartest show on television, even though on one of my old podcasts, I said that there was no way I could get hit with a softball in the nuts because I play outfield and then the very next game I got hit in the nuts with a ball.

Hell yeah.

Why did you say there was no way it could

happen? So we did.

So we did.

This was my I had a sports podcast called Real Good Show for a few years with my block party partner, Stefan Heck and another friend of ours.

And Stefan, we did a live show.

And so Stefan made this YouTube video or like made this video to play at the live show.

That was a compilation of videos.

And then we posted it.

go? It's like...

Oh, yeah.

Yeah.

So anyway, he posted it after we did the live show and then it went viral and Deadspin, back when it was good, wrote an article about it or whatever.

So nut shots were on the brain.

And then I was just like...

I think on the pod, I said something like, Oh yeah, you know, I don't, I wouldn't, I don't think I'd get a nut shot in softball.

And then Stefan was like, Oh, cause like you wear a cup or whatever.

And I was like, no, no, I play the outfield.

You don't need to wear a cup in the outfield.

Like it's very rare that you'd ever have an opportunity to get hit in the nuts.

Like it just, you know, something would have to go wrong.

And then literally the next game I was like going, the ball was coming at me pretty, it was like a pretty hard line drive.

And then I went to go field it and it just took this insane hop off the grass and like just hit me right in the bag.

And then immediately Salisbury Hill started playing in my head.

Oh, my God.

And yeah, so anyway, and to this day, that's the only time still like I've played softball for like 10 more years since then.

And I've never been hitting the nuts again.

So it was literally just...

Well, now you're going to get hit in the nuts tomorrow.

You just said that.

I do have a game

on Wednesday.

So yeah.

Well, yeah.

Emily, have you ever, because this comes up with Becca, have you ever like administered a nut shot?

Like thrown a ball at someone or kick someone in the nuts?

No, like kick someone in the nuts.

Because Becca's like, I've never done it in my whole life.

And it's like one thing I want to do, but I've just never had the opportunity to do it.

You've never let her do it?

I think I told her she could, but she won't.

I just have to get her mad enough at me, I guess, that she wants to kick me in the nuts.

Yeah, I think I've done it by accident.

Okay.

Because I am like...

I'm very ticklish in a way that is not fun for me.

Okay.

it's in a way where I'm like, I'll, I'll hit you and it won't be voluntary.

Okay.

And, uh, so, and I, I tell this to all of my like romantic partners when we first started dating is I'm like, I'm extremely ticklish.

I don't like being tickled, but also like I get really like my body reacts in a way that I can't control.

Like I will, I'll do any, like do anything to stop it from happening.

And I do think I had an ex-boyfriend who was just like, I'm taking the risk.

and got a nut shot because he tickled me.

I do think he maybe said it was worth it.

That was the day he discovered he was into stuff he didn't know he was into.
