So to first begin, we need to look at where are you, you know? How far behind are you in terms of the goals and resolutions you set at the beginning of the year? How far ahead do you feel in terms of those goals and, um, plans and desires and stuff like that? Do you feel like you've kind of moved and stuck with your routine, stuck with your habits, stuck with, you know, the way that you wanted to make decisions and all that kind of stuff? Do you feel like you're moving the needle, that you're getting a step closer? I was looking at my journal this morning, actually, and I was going through everything I wrote down and I was like, "This year I wanna write a book," you know, I wanna publish a book and all of that kind of stuff.

And now I'm looking at the fact that I've submitted my manuscript, like it's done.

So I feel like I'm taking a step for- further, you know, in that direction towards that goal, you know? It still sometimes feels a bit far, you know? But, um, when I look in retrospect, right, like trying to celebrate those small wins or I've submitted a chapter, I've submitted another chapter, I've, you know, all of that kind of stuff.

You need to be able to look at the little milestones you've made and the little victories and stuff.

So where are you on your journey? Do you feel like when you look at certain goals, you've taken a step in that direction, whether it's your fitness goals, your eating goals, your career goals, your financial goals and all of that kind of stuff? One of my financial goals was to have a, a, a binder, right? Basically just storing cash in it, because I never have cash on me and stuff.

But I think it's, it's so good to know that, like, there's an investments account somewhere, a savings account somewhere else, a check account somewhere.

I have, um, access to cash if I need it and all of that kind of stuff, because I am terrible at saving.

And so I don't have all of those things done yet, you know? But the fact that I got a binder and all of that, that felt like a step further in that direction.

And that's the thing, you don't have to complete and achieve everything immediately, you know? You don't have to complete and achieve everything in six months and stuff.

So like, yeah, I think look at that, and then look at how far you are also in terms of that.

Like, what isn't landing? [laughs] In what ways have you been slacking? In what ways have you been overlooking some things? In what ways have you just kind of let go of yourself or just not committed yourself to the journey and the process and all of that kind of stuff? What habits have you taken on, whether good or bad, right? You need to reflect.

What is it that I've been doing in the last six months that has either been hindering me or propelling me, you know, towards the things that I said I wanted by the end of the year? And, uh, really assess, guys.

Um, so if you've now taken on sleeping late often and all of that kind of stuff, why am I doing it? Is it working for my benefit? Are there added hours I am awake adding to my goals or what? Or are they making me more tired, sleep-deprived, irritated, and all of that kind of stuff? You know, what habits have you, um, found yourself engaging in that, um, are either moving you where you want to be or moving you in a very different direction? And be incredibly honest with yourself when you, when you answer these questions, right? Like, be so, even if it feels like you're judging yourself, you know? Um- I think it's like, it's holding yourself to the mirror, right? And like basically saying, "How badly do you really want this goal? Like, where are we going? What are we doing?" And that's why I ask the first question, where are we? You know, where are you? And stuff like that.

Um, I think another thing we need to reflect on is what has changed, right? So maybe you wrote the goals in the beginning of the year, but unfortunately, financially things have changed, and so you can't continue with the thing that you set out to do and all of that.

Maybe your environment has changed, where you're staying, where you're moving to, and all that kind of stuff, the people you keep around you, right? Maybe the relationships in your life have changed.

Perhaps you started the year in a relationship, and now you're not in a romantic relationship anymore.

Perhaps you started the year with certain friendships, and now it doesn't feel like those are going to continue anymore.
