Hello, everybody, and welcome back to another episode of Western Context.
As has been telegraphed for many weeks now, there has been movement on the American-Canadian trade file, and we're going to be discussing that this week.
Plus, of course, some other things that have managed to creep into the news this week that really weren't talked about but should be eyebrow-raising for all Canadian taxpayers.
Yes, indeed.
And certainly with the news surrounding the trade negotiations or lack thereof between the United States and Canada this week, there's certainly been a lot of chatter going on about that story, especially with the possible conclusion of one particular part of that.
And this has, of course, overshadowed a lot of other news that's been happening here.
Canada this week and almost by design showing that there is this news gap between what is actually going on in Canada and what the mainstream media is actually reporting.
And of course, when they talk about various stories that they hype up, that they make really big, that they make really fearful, a lot of people are going to have to ask the question, why are they doing this? And we're going to try and provide some illumination on that so you can decide what side of the story you're you fall down on but if you're joining us for the first time western context is a podcast that aims to cut through media bias and sensationalism we do that of course by talking about stories that were missed in the mainstream media talking about different angles and different possibilities to what the official narratives are in canadian media and in doing that We hope to provide all the information and context necessary to put you, our listeners, on the right side of the news.
