Completing the paperwork to do business in West Virginia is about to get a lot easier.

Governor Patrick Morrissey announced the soft launch of West Virginia's new one-stop shop permitting portal Wednesday.

The online system allows businesses to apply for permits, pay fees, and track applications through a single account as part of the governor's Speed to Build initiative.

The permitting portal had a soft launch on October 1st and is expected to be fully operational on its January 1st, 2027 deadline established in a 2025 state law.
