Special - Fraud Awareness Excerpt

As most of you know, and if you know me, I'm very passionate about helping those fractions of the community that are vulnerable, especially with the scams and scones workshops that we have been doing for a number of years now with Cyber West.

This particular one, I felt I needed to share it because it's becoming such a common story.

This story could be my grandparents, my parents, it could happen to anybody that we love and care about.

So a number of weeks ago, probably about two weeks ago now, I got a message from someone in our cybersecurity community who I know and respect extremely, extremely well.

And she reached out asking for help for a family member.

He's a 72-year-old male living here in Western Australia.

And unfortunately he has been scammed in the most horrendous way and has absolutely lost everything.

His super, his life savings, he's got into debt over it.

and I felt it's important to share this story.
