Daniella TorelliGuestBeau WigingtonHostThere's a growing number of women coming into welding and you do a ton of work with them up here trying to give opportunities, trying to, you know, find connect people with mentors.

They're out into their industries, into their communities, in the schools, everywhere.

And they're promoting this trade, this beautiful trade that we all are part of.

And our resources that we have available for anyone that's in the welding industry and with our membership.

So I have the honor of working alongside with them and helping support them.
What are some events or opportunities that are out there for, you know, if a lady out there is interested in getting into welding and they're kind of apprehensive, what are some opportunities they have to either go meet people or give it a go?

And as we both know, networking is such a huge piece of mentorship is you have to get out there, you have to have start that conversation.

But it's also that skilled trades person to be approachable to, you know, when you do attend events or you're in the industry to be approachable, that someone come up to you and ask some questions or, or, you know, just smile and then say, welcome, you know? So it really can be that simple and it really opened the door and yeah our chapters do some amazing work and you know you can go on our website at cdbgroup.org on our association page and we have a whole calendar of upcoming events across Canada.

So really anyone can kind of go out they're open to everybody that's you know either if you're in the industry or you're interested in the welding industry.

All are welcomed and there's tons of opportunity for networking and also learning about technical skills.

A lot of our chapters are putting on technical presentations and we actually had a record-breaking year this past fiscal year.

Our chapters hosted over 85 events as a collaborative effort and then got in front of 61,000 people.
