It's an Ontario provincial park that takes care of the 56 kilometers parkland of Niagara
So down in America, we don't have that, but I think it's a pretty awesome program.

Obviously, high pressure and stuff is a bit different, but if you're thinking strictly welding.

But due to the fact of being a non-compulsory trade, sometimes it's a bit difficult to find an apprenticeship for welding, but I got lucky.

I first went to school for a welding technician, and because of going to school for a welding technician, I was able to write a couple exemption exams, kind of get up to a third year apprentice, as an apprentice, and that helped me get into Niagara Parks and then finish my apprenticeship there.

But it's interesting because When people think of apprenticeships, they always think, okay, how many hours am I going to need? You know, 6,000, 7,000, 8,000 hours.

So it's, can you do the process? If you're going to TIG weld, can you go ahead and demonstrate setting up the machine? Can you demonstrate, you know, mild steel or stainless or aluminum TIG welding? Can you lay a fill weld? Can you explain what the bead's supposed to look like? All that sort, you know, different tungsten and stuff like that.

But it's one of those things, kind of serving an apprenticeship, knocking on doors, trying to go ahead and get someone to sign you, and just getting the education and learning how to weld.

Then once you have your red seal, it does help, especially depending on where you're going.
