09-22-26: Interview with Molly Lange: Audubon Volleyball

So let's start with last Thursday.

You guys traveled or hosted at Booyer Valley.

Exciting match for you guys.

You pick up a 3-2 win in five sets.

Talk about that match itself and being pushed by Booyer Valley.

Yeah, that was just really good to get over that hump a little bit.

We've been competing pretty well overall, but not necessarily ending up on the winning side of things.

So that was good for the girls' confidence and just for us to, you know, really compete and to push through to point to 25.

And what have been some of the common themes for you guys when you pick up wins?

Oh, efficiency.

I mean, we just were making way too many errors.

You know, I would say offensively we're doing a great job of getting kills, of, you know, we're averaging, you know, depending on whether it's a 21, You know, if it's a 21-point set, we're averaging usually 7 to 8 kills a set.

If it's a 25, we're getting usually that 9 to 10.

And that's really good offense.

But unfortunately, on the other side of that, we're just making way too many errors and giving the other team way too many easy points.

You know, when we look at statistically at the end of a game, when we're giving them, you know, the majority of their points and they're winning, like that's an issue.

Like we have to play cleaner.

And then you guys turned around on Saturday and had some really good competition.

You start the day off with a big win over Fort Dodge.

Both sets were close.

Talk about, you know, that matchup and how the girls were able to pull it out.

Yeah, again, you know, just the efficiency part of it.

You know, I think that we hit over 100.

It was over 150 maybe for the match.

Just, again, when we limit our errors, we really truly have just some really great volleyball players When we're making those errors and getting down, whether it's with our pass or our set or our swing, you know, obviously hitting efficiency isn't just the
