Uh, uh, yes, the local elections served as some sort of catalyzing moment, but it's worth reflecting that clearly a number of Labour MPs, well, many, at least 100 or so at this stage, uh, have concluded that Keir Starmer is not up to it, that he's not up to the job personally, that his government is low on achievements and, um, beaten up by scandal and U-turn and policy mistakes, and they've had enough of it.
And we now have a situation where it looks like as, uh, as I sit here and talk to you, uh, Wes Streeting will today seek to put his name, uh, on the door of Number Ten.
But in doing so, uh, he'll trigger movement from other people in the Labour Party, likely Angela Rayner, uh, maybe, uh, Al Khans, the, uh, Armed Forces minister.
Big debate about whether Labour will change the rules of their leadership election to try and give him time to come in, but it's not a given.
Uh, he says, at least for now, that he'll absolutely fight, and there is a world in which he wins.
