Well, this morning we're starting our new sermon series, Blessed.
We still have a few books out in the welcome area.
If you didn't grab one and want to, of course, you know, it's 2026.
You can hop on Amazon or whatever else you wanna do if you wanna grab it.
It's a great read.
Cannot recommend highly enough.
I'm so grateful for the recommendation of our Discipleship Steering Committee because I did not know this book, and now I'm so grateful to have it in my toolbox.
The authors who wrote this book, they wrote it because they were passionate about sharing their faith.
They wanted to help others come to know the Jesus that they knew, but they were not feeling like they were doing a very good job of it.
Can anybody relate to that? Yeah.
I bet a lot of us can.
So co-author Dave became a Christ follower in his late teens, and he specifically had this passion for sharing his faith with others.
This- he had this newfound freedom and this understanding of, of how amazing God is and who Jesus is, and he was motivated by the Great Commission to go and to make disciples, and so he looked for every opportunity to share his faith and his story.
He tried street evangelism.
Yeah.
He got trained on how to share his testimony with non-believers.
He canvassed neighborhoods and knocked on doors to share his story.
He attended-- I mean, come on, guys.
Like, does that make you nervous just thinking about it? He attended the Billy Graham School of Missions, Evangelism, and Ministry because who better to instruct him than Billy Graham? He tried every method that he learned at the Billy Graham School.
Have you even heard of some of these? The four spiritual laws, the bridge illustration, evangelism explosion.
I know that one.
I'll tell you why I know that one some other time.
And spiritual conversation starters.
He even tried the Soul Winners Club.
Like, that's a, that's a lot, and I don't even know what some of that means.
