We're in week three of our series Bless, which comes from this book that was written by Dave and John Ferguson, Five Ways, Five Everyday Ways to Love Your Neighbor and Change the World.
which I'm excited about because
doesn't that sound like a good deal? Love your neighbor and let's change the world.
The authors of this book, their goal, just for those who might be catching up, or just to remind us what it is that we're doing here, their goal was to learn how to help people just like us learn how to love our neighbors, love your neighbors, show up in the world, make a difference, but
really specifically to help people learn about Jesus,
to know Jesus, to meet Jesus in a real meaningful way, because what they were doing wasn't working, and they know that what some of us are doing isn't working.
And so they sought out to learn what would work, and what they learned was that people are looking for friends, a friend who will live the good news, who will be the good news, and then share the good news in the form of their own story in that order.

And as we identify who those people are, how God is calling us to bless them and to continue to pray for them and about what God wants us to do and those relationships so that we can reflect God in them.
And then the second week, last week, we talked about listen, the power of listening, truly listening.
And this week, the word is...
