Tina and John talk about being yourself in voice overs and bringing your own unique energy to the industry.
Which is own your space in the voiceover industry.
Yes.
Right? And what do we mean by that? So, you know, here's the thing that makes...
each voice actor different, right? And it is, everybody, every human being has their own life experiences.
They also have their own emotional background.
Some people might call it baggage,
but
I call it emotional background.
And those things influence not only how you perceive things, but also how you express things.
True.
That's very true.
Right.
And that's actually positive, right? So when I'm working with a voice actor, which I'm going to be doing later today, actually, when I'm working with a voice actor and I'm producing something and I say...
okay, I want you to be disappointed on this line.
I know what that sounds like to me in my brain.
Like when I say that to you, I know what that sounds like.
But here's the thing.
Your version of disappointed is not going to be exactly what my version of disappointed is.
And so that voice actor is about to express to me their version based on, again, their emotional background, their life experiences, their version of disappointment.
And sometimes I love it.
Oh, yeah.
And in my mind, I'm thinking, why didn't I think of that?
And
you know what? I couldn't have thought of that because I'm not that person.
And that's what we mean by own your space in the voiceover industry.
