Y'all ready for the word this morning? If you got a Bible, go with me to Psalm 57.
David would oftentimes write these Psalms, we've been in a series called Psalms of David, and he would write these Psalms based on what he was going through.
David wrote 75 Psalms himself in the book of Psalms, but then he also composed other people's prayers and songs from the Old Testament into more Psalms.
I cry out to the one who is above me, who knows how to work in me to fulfill his purpose for me.
Who do you cry out to when you're in a crisis? Who do you call when you don't know who to call? You know, we pull out our phone, we think, man, who am I gonna text for this situation? Who am I gonna call? And you go through your contact list.
What do you do when there's no one in your contact list that you feel like could understand what you're walking through? when there's no one that you could reach out to that could counsel you on a situation.
I should learn how to cry out to God on the good days and the bad days, on the mountaintops and the valleys.
David had a personal relationship with the Lord where he understood God's got my back.
