There was a game yesterday between France and Paraguay which we'll get to.

Yeah.

Which Paraguay employed what I will describe as dirty, dirty tactics.

Dirty.

Filthy tactics.

Filthy.

The dark arts.

The dark arts, yeah.

They were not interested in playing football yesterday.

And

I felt there was a bit of that in the first game as well, especially for the first 45 minutes.

I was like, am I going to get that 45 minutes?

In Canada versus Morocco?

Yeah, I thought Canada were a bit cynical.

I thought they were little niggles and I thought Morocco actually, you know, paid the price for it because they started buying into it a little bit.

I'd be interested

to see how many yellow cards went out last night, you know.

Well, there was a lot in the Canada-Morocco game.

Yeah.

we'll get to refereeing later because the refs employ different strategies Michael Oliver loads of yellow cards in the first half the game calmed down in the second half not the same in the France Paraguay game

well we felt that they were letting the games go earlier in the tournament like you know and it was adding to you know it was adding to a more exciting game when it's happening later in the games that you know there's going to be a bit of niggly competition going on all the time

or as people get tired maybe the tackles are a fraction of second leg.

Yeah, and I like a bit of an

edge to the game, but I hate this kind of, you know, this waving, trying to get people to get cards and diving and all of that nonsense.

But niggly little fouls and stuff like that and the dark arts.
