The players, I think, are at a different level nowadays.

Compared to even... 90s, early 2000s.

I think we're taking it into a whole different stratosphere now in terms of conditioning.

So much so that I'm going to make a controversial statement.

I think pretty much any top level team now would beat any team from the past.

I'm going to leave it there.

Is this kind of like that any top boxer would beat Muhammad Ali now? Probably.

Well, that's because they're seven foot two and four stone heavier than him.

You know what I mean? So in regards to soccer, I'm assuming you're going the other way, that they're zippier, that they're faster, that they're eating better.

They'd probably just be

able to run any other team into the ground, I think.

But also it's the tactical side of it as well.

I think the tactics nowadays is much more disciplined than it was in the past.

And arguably teams are playing more as a unit rather than in the past

yeah but this passing and moving thing was going on in the 70s as well wasn't it like so in regards to the tactics I'm not sure I totally agree with that but like if we're going fantasy football saying the best Man United team of the early 90s would still have a crack off surely this Manchester United team? Do you think so? I think they would.

Because they'd give them something that maybe this team don't have.
