So when I took my evenings, when it had cooled down a bit, just to, uh, just to sort out the book and get writing and get on that.

And as a result...

I mean, I was, I was talking, um, with Keeley, and, my wife, and we were just kind of going through the process.

And I was up until half 3:00 in the morning last night editing and formatting and proofreading and skimming and going through and looking for any issues and errors I could.

And, and I ended up uploading the whole thing into the, um, Kindle, or sorry, the KDP software, which is what you use when you upload a book to Amazon, if you don't know.

So, so a bit of a how the sausage is made stuff going on here.

I'm gonna give you some behind-the-scenes, like, idea of what I've been up to.

So you, you, you write the whole book in a document, and y- you get the, the .docX file, which is like a Word document.

And you, and you put that straight into this software that KDP it's called.

Uh, I think it's Kindle Direct Publishing, and they do all the publishing for Amazon.

And this software, basically you choose how you want the book to be laid out, and then you have to go through it and mold it into the shape you want it to be, the style you want it to be, what, what the headings you want them to be, uh, the copyright page, the front piece, and, like, uh, the contents page and everything, and then how the headers are gonna be positioned and[laughs] basically I spent all of last night and all of today, so I must have put in about, I don't know, it must be 12 hours worth of back-to-back work all in all, uh, two six-hour sessions.

But just doing that, and what you have to do is you upload it with a picture, which you have to get to the right dimensions based on how big the book is, which you don't know until you upload the book, so it's this whole process.

And then you have to then go through it and see where any formatting errors have appeared in the final print version.

And then what y- what you find is a lot of headings end up being, like, right at the bottom of the page with no writing underneath them.

So you have this big, bold heading at the bottom, bottom [laughs] of a page, and then all the writing's on the next page to go with it.

And I can't have that.

It looks terrible.

So then you have to go back into the original file, move it down a f- couple of paces, and then go back and h- have a look to see if it's now moved to the next page so it looks n- nice.

But then as you do that, you move everything else, which causes it to happen over and over and over again.

[laughs] So you have to keep doing it.

And it's taken, like, 50 iterations of going through this process, and then finally getting it all uploaded onto Amazon, which means i- I've, I've done it.

The book is finished, and it's ready to go.

And I ...

It's been approved.

It's been scanned for errors through their own system.
