yes it's been what just over a month
yeah nearly six weeks
um how are you feeling i guess is a good place to start
yeah so i guess the last time we spoke about my uh running was probably fairly immediately post lakeland
yeah i think so
And it was when I had not yet found out what had caused me to have to drop out of the race.
So since then, running actually picked up relatively well and relatively quickly after Lakeland.
I was able to run within a couple of days.
The legs returned to normal pretty quickly.
I ran my fastest park run of about the last two years, one week after.
Fueled a little bit by frustration.
Yeah, that's very fair.
And...
So kind of physically, at least muscles and joints wise.
Mechanically.
Mechanically, it felt fairly okay, fairly quickly.
You always have to be very careful, I think, after a long event.
Especially one where you don't complete the full distance.
Where you go, well, I didn't finish, so it doesn't count.
I still ran 50 miles.
And so there's definitely been some residual fatigue from that and from the training up to it.
Yeah.
But overall, I spent a couple of weeks just running... fairly freely, run a couple of local league races.
And I think it's always nice after an event to have a few weeks with no training plan, with no goals, where you're kind of just free to run and to remind yourself to enjoy it.
Yeah.
