I think people will agree that Spirit was the butt of a lot of aviation jokes.

Um, but there's nothing funny about a $50 ticket, you know, to get you up or down the East Coast to go to a graduation or surprise a friend who just needs a hug.
Well then, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Spirit the leader in that, like, ultra low cost market? Like, not only did you make, not only did Spirit make aviation accessible to so many people, but by and large they've made it way more accessible 'cause now there's a competitive market in there too.

I think competition's such an important topic when you talk about low cost carriers.

You know, on routes that are saturated by some of the, the big mainline carriers, they have nobody to compete with.
Right.

Right? And when a smaller carrier like a Spirit or another low cost carrier comes into the market, it really makes them evaluate their cabin.
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.

And I think as a lot of travelers have seen, it's also positioned those mainline carriers to also change their cabins-

And some of the low cost carriers go into, like, major airports, but there are some ultra low cost carriers that are going into airports that are totally underserved to make it-

'Cause some people don't even have the ability to, like, drive to the closest airport.
