And on this episode, I give you an update on what's been going on with my training, my health, all the work that I've been doing surrounding getting back in the mountains and getting back to Nepal and start accomplishing those goals before I get too old.

It's been a busy summer for me, and as I talked about in the first episode of this Ramble series about being an uphill athlete and being overweight, you all know that I've set some goals to get back to Nepal and get back into the mountains and do some of that trekking and climbing and such that I dearly love to do.

The issues I talked about with trying to get yourself back into shape and trying to get the weight off and get ready to go back to Nepal.

Go see the sights on a whim, hop on a plane and fly into Lukla and, you know, get some cheap hiking gear, throw it on and hike right up the mountain and make it all the way to base camp and and just do it without even thinking about it.

And one of the things that I've been fighting against is that for a little while, at least, I got pretty lax about my working out and taking care of myself as much as I should have been, kind of got lazy.

And so I've really kind of flipped the script on that and gotten myself back into the mindset of, Really, you know, getting healthy, getting strong, you know, losing weight.

And obviously my motivation is getting back into the mountains and reaching those goals that I've set for myself.

You know, there are some challenges for me, you know, as a person that is getting older.

My body, you know, has a tendency to break down easier and be not as resilient as it was in my younger days.

trained for that in hopes of kind of staving some of that off so that I can get these goals accomplished before they move into the realm of a lot less likely than they are even now.
