What does that mean that one partner might have more power or there might be an imbalance of power? When I talk about power, what I'm talking about here is influence.

Certainly that can exist in relationships, but I look at that being farther on the continuum of abuse.

So what we're talking about today is just the normal sort of hidden power dynamics that come along with being and having a relationship.

And what that means is that each partner wants to have some level of influence over the other partner.

I wonder if you've ever considered, it seems like my partner always has the last say about things.

Or it seems like my partner, we always have to go with their decisions or solutions to problems.

Is there an imbalance of influence between one partner and the other? And if there is, how can we create a better balance? And how can we share power in the relationship better? So again, just to reiterate, we're talking about power today from an influential standpoint.
