I'm a Black man in America that saw his mama go to prison and I was swapping shoes out over there in prison.
It's gonna always be about us because I know I ain't the only one that gotta see somebody that I understand that my role, I understand that who I am inspires somebody else.
It is because of the likes, it is because of the shares, it is because of the reposts.
I would never in my life forget that because it was us that inspired me when I was in the trenches.
Me and all my homies was Black and we watched his auntie on drugs, my auntie on drugs, my mama in jail, his mama working two jobs, his mama a junkie, his mama doing this, his mama locked up, his mama an alcoholic, his mama messing with two and three men trying to get off.
I watched his daddy work on a garbage truck, his daddy come from prison, his daddy be a drunk, his daddy be a killer, his daddy be a gangster, his daddy be dead, his daddy be dead.
