And it comes from, you know, a deep wound, the wound of being the good girl.

I've always been a great student, right? In school, you tell me what I need to do, I do it.

And I've always been, give me the task and I will perfectly execute it and then I'm going to get a grade A.

This is always how I have been.

And I've always put, you know, teachers on a pedestal believing...

They know it all.

They must know it all.

And I remember actually this one time I was in uni and my teacher gave me a very unfair grade.

And I ended up telling him.

And I remember I put so much effort into the work.

I went above and beyond in this assignment.

And he gave me a grade that I absolutely disagreed with.

And so I went to him and he ended up changing his grade from a C to an A.

And it was the first time where I realized, hold on, not everyone that is an authority knows better than you.

And unfortunately, you know, didn't learn my lesson then and ended up.

Coming into spaces, when I say spaces, you know, hiring, coaching, mentors that I have so adored.

And there's so many incredible mentors and coaches I worked with that I'm so freaking grateful for.

And they shaped me into the person that I am today.

And it's been absolutely incredible.

But I also know a wound of mine has been me outsourcing my voice and my power to a mentor.
