Oct 7, 2026 · 20 min · 12 segments
Skiing at high altitude is an incredible workout, but by day four, your body inevitably starts screaming in places you didn't even know existed. In Episode 7 of Transfer to Alps, hosts Liam and Chloe…
Le Mara is just the ultimate haven of peace, isn't it? It sits right at the entrance of the resort, perched on the cliff side, and the spa itself is a masterpiece of minimalist modern alpine design.
It's all clean stone, pale wood, and massive floor-to-ceiling glass windows that flood the place with natural light.
The minute you walk through those doors and smell the essential oils, you can literally feel your heart rate slowing down.
It's an incredibly clever design.
The spa is made up of several sensory zones.
They've got a beautiful indoor heated pool, a proper steam room, a dry Finnish sauna, and these fantastic sensory showers.
[laughs] Oh, the sensory showers are brilliant.
They aren't just normal showers.
You press a button and you get this multi-sensory experience.
You've got warm tropical mist, icy mountain rain, flashing lights, and even the sound of thunder and chirping birds playing through the speakers.
It is highly relaxing, if a little bit surreal.
It sounds like a posh car wash for humans, if you ask me.
But the absolute crown jewel of the Deep Nature Spa is their outdoor terrace.
They've built this spectacular bubbling indoor whirlpool bath right on the deck on the edge of the cliff.
Oh, the cliff-top hot tub is just heaven.
You sit in this steaming, bubbling 38-degree water with the freezing alpine air on your face, looking straight out across the massive snow-covered peaks of the Morzine valley.
If you time it right for sunset when the mountains turn this gorgeous deep violet and pink, it is one of the most magical experiences you can have in the Alps.
You completely forget about your sore muscles.
It is a proper five-star experience.
And because Le Mara is composed of five interconnected buildings linked by heated underground walkways, you don't even have to face the cold to get there.
If you are staying in Surya or Chandra, you can literally wander down to the spa in your dressing gown and slippers without ever stepping onto a snowy street.
It is pure comfort.
And their treatment menu is top tier too.
They have four private cabins, including two double rooms for couples, where they offer tailored face and body treatments using their own signature Deep Nature organic products.
Their deep tissue sports massage is particularly famous for absolutely ironing out any knots in your calves and glutes.
