Hello and welcome to the Tradewinds Wavelength Podcast, your weekly roundup of some of the news, interviews and discussions shaping the maritime industry.

I'm Craig Eason, and this episode largely comes from Oslo in Norway, where we've been co-hosting the Oslo Open Days with Norshipping.

So in this episode, we've got discussions with some of shipping's big names on the impact of the Middle East situation the potential needs to pay, the transit of the Strait of Hormuz.

So we hear from Alexander Savoris of CNB Tech, Hing Chau from Hua Kuang, and Andreas Enger, Chief Executive of Herg Autoliners, on the ways that the conflict has impacted business.

We also hear from the man who's been at the centre of some of the decarbonisation talks at the International Maritime Organisation.

Sveinon Offedahl has been chairing some of the greenhouse gas talks that have been happening for many years at the IMO and we've got him on hand talking about why he is optimistic about a net zero deal being agreed by the end of the year.

And finally, we're going to hear from Leif Herg and what it is like being a third-generation ship owner as his family business approaches its centenary.
