Zach & Vance interview Corey Granquist. Corey is running for ward 1 City Council in Norfolk NE
What is one specific thing you believe Norfolk needs to change over the next four years? Needs to change?
Um... boy what do you change or improve change or improve yeah there you go um there's i think the transparency is coming along
quite honestly you know we had well i want to say we had seven different budget meetings just to talk about the budget um which is a heck of a lot more than we've ever had in the 12 years i've done this so far um know early on we might have only had a couple um so that that has changed immensely and i think i would hope the public appreciates that i think everybody appreciates that as meeting as a council it seems like it's a lot but it's it's probably the best way of transparency of what actually is going and really brought out a lot of discussions.
So obviously keeping that going, but, uh, some of the things that the town needs is, is more improvements.
Obviously you look at the South part of town or the stockyards and undeveloped areas within the city.
There there's obviously some streets and we can, we can all point at different ones, but there's also been some, some good street improvements, you know, if you look at Benjamin.
Um, There's a few aspects, I suppose, all over town that needs some addressing, if you will.
What responsibility does the city council actually have for keeping the total cost of living in Norfolk affordable?
So that's, uh, that's obviously a tough and difficult one for, for anybody, right.
