And just before we get into this week's episode, I want to draw your attention to next week because it's a really interesting one, actually.

We're speaking to Professor Ken Dark.

Now, he is the director of the Tintagel Hinterland Project, and he's just written a book all about Tintagel Castle in Cornwall.

And its links to King Arthur and how understanding it a little bit more deeply can give us an amazing insight into that period that I'm really interested in at the moment, which is that period between Roman and post-Roman Britain.

Tintagel is one of the few places that both feature in the legends and have good archaeological evidence for life at the relevant time.

Now, it's attracted many of what you might call the more unusual and eccentric archaeologists over the last century or two.

And so the debate around what you can discover and what you can't is still raging.
