Um, before we get into blue plate special, we got a lot of stuff we're going to be talking about with that.

The world cup, uh, wrapped up now.

It seems like it's been a little while now, I guess.

It's been about a

month almost.

Well, no, no, it's been about, oh, about three weeks, two, three weeks.

But if, you know, unless you were hiding under a rock, obviously the world cup took over this summer, uh, In a way that I think is...

I don't really remember a lot of moments in America's soccer history as far as its fandom.

They were going to make

television history.

You saw soccer achieve a level of interest in this country that I've never seen before.

And I think it goes beyond it just purely being in...

The United States, Mexico, and Canada.

But that certainly added, I think, maybe an extra spotlight to it.

Right.

But obviously the World Cup wrapped up again two, three weeks ago.

Spain beating Argentina.

Now Levi is obviously definitely the bigger soccer fan between us, but I myself am getting more and more into the sport.

Levi wrote an excellent column.

um levi like obviously you've thought about and covered the world cup a lot over these last two months um now that we're a little bit removed from any lasting impressions or thoughts as we move into the more traditional soccer schedule of what the world cup maybe meant or represented this year

yeah and i'll make it very terse because i wrote 60 000 were over 60 000 words about the world cup this summer um Which is not a flex, more just a statement of my insanity, I guess.

I don't know.

But it was something that I decided I wanted to do about writing about it because I had a pretty good time writing an essay I did last summer about Lavinia Mall, which we might have brought up on here before, I don't know.
