Some friendships come and go. Others become woven into the fabric of our lives. In this special episode, The Third Chapter Trio is joined by lifelong friends and special guests, Brenda and Sheila…
Sheila brought up a good point to think about was that all through high school, every single morning, we had our gathering spot.
And that became routine.
It became something that we probably, I don't know how much intentionality was there, but that was the security, I guess.
There would be security in that because we knew that the others
would be there.
I think it's interesting too, because as I reflect back on it, it was the mornings because we didn't all hang out together at lunch.
You know, and after school, some were playing sports, some were going through music and that type of thing.
But it was first thing in the morning.
We all did come together.
We always had some interesting conversations, but I also think it was really great support because as we all went through different things, that was a place that was safe to go and to share what we were feeling and, you know, what we thought about things.
Yeah.
So the commonality I'm thinking about, and we talked about this earlier, that we all had been in middle school together.
And some of you guys would have, Glenys and Brenda, have some additional perspectives on that.
But when you think of those teen years as being, you know... challenging as we're growing.
And so we cemented something at that school together that then when we went to the next phase of the big old comprehensive high school that we're just like big eyed and worried about, there's another piece like, well, we're sticking together on this one because the support, I guess, I'm not sure.
I think for me it certainly would have been the support.
