Tired of waiting on a developer every time your website needs a small update? In this episode of TheeDigital's GrowthCast, we're sharing our September WordPress Basics training, led by Keri Rosemond…
So first of all, um, how do we actually log into WordPress so we can make updates? I'm going to show you a very basic demo site that we have.
But if I wanted to log into this website, I'm going to add, at the very top, you see /wp-admin.
Most WordPress sites, that's the login unless you have purposely customized it.
Um, so now I'm at the login screen, and I'm going to log in with my WordPress login.
So the WordPress login is different from your hosting login or your domain registrar login.
Okay, so now we are logged into the back of the site or the WordPress dashboard.
When I refer to the front of the site, I'm talking about, you know, what the public sees.
And then when I'm refer to the back of the site, I'm talking about the dashboard, which is this.
Uh, most everything that you need in the dashboard is in this left s- uh, sidebar.
That's probably primarily where you're going to be if you need to add a page or a post.
