Theater Five - "Listen Mother" (Old Time Radio, 1965)

Theater Five presents “Listen Mother,” episode 145 of ABC’s weekday radio-drama anthology, originally broadcast February 19, 1965. The production was directed by Ted Bell, with Barbara Baxley, Arthur Anderson, and Connie Brigham among the cast. During a long drive home from a country visit, Leonard’s mother fixates on Grace, Sam’s girlfriend, and on the people and events around them. What begins as an ordinary car ride becomes an increasingly tense domestic drama. Theater Five presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
