I just received a chunk of money I wasn't expecting and my first instinct was to spend it. In this episode, I break down why making money and holding onto it are two completely different capacities…

And two, it's more than what I knew normally would get in like a moment in time or like a week or whatever.

And Normally, what would happen is I would spend it, right? Like, not that I would spend it poorly, but I would just find ways to spend it where all of a sudden I'm back into the same bank account statement that I was before.

You know what I mean? So I would have where, you know, I'd find a bill to pay or I'd find something for my car to pay, or there'd be a course I want to take or, you know, things that I'm, it's not like I'm just spending it on food and clothing and all these other kinds of things that are maybe not things I need in the moment.

But what I would notice is that this money would come in and then it would immediately be gone basically.

Like I, Holding on to the money was something for me that for some reason is challenging.

I've never really been a saver And With that, you know it's always interesting when we look at our patterns that way because we can look at that and say like okay well why can't I do that or why haven't I been able to do that so for me this has been an area of my life that I have been kind of taking a look at because okay I got this amount of money and I want to be making more money and so if I want to be making more money I don't just want to be spending it on everything right I want to be able to hold on to it I want to be able to shift my financial narrative around how much gets to be in my bank account, what that gets to look like, and that stability piece around money that is just because you're making money doesn't mean you have money, right? And that doesn't matter how much you're making, right? There's people out there who look very well off and very rich and still maybe don't have money as much as they make it, right? Because they're spending it just as fast.

So this was something in my life that I was trying to take a look at and I wanted to reframe how I identify with it and also reframe how I actually take action, right? Like how I actually move forward with this.
