WBHP Episode 202 - 2026 Colorado Mule Deer (Days 1-3)

We glassed up, you know, we've kind of sat around after we got camp set up and glassed and.

By evening, I think we had seen what we saw, 16 bucks, I think, in the

canyon.

Yeah, 16 behind us, and then that group of five out in front of us.

Yeah.

So, you know, a decent start, but the 16, I mean, the biggest one was, you know, maybe, what, 140? Yeah.

Something like that.

And

then steep drop-off after that.

Yeah, yeah.

Lots of two points.

Right, yep.

So not much for quality at all, which really had me concerned.

And then the bucks on the other side of the canyon from us...

One of them was a 4x3 that was 160-ish, probably.

Yeah,

I agree.

So that was going to be our plan A for this morning.

But we woke up this morning and more bucks came into the basin behind us.

So we ended up seeing four total.

There was two...

there was i mean there was a bunch of bucks but four shooters

yeah yeah at least four

but

mainly those those close ones south broke out his uh binos and i broke out the spotter and he would just kind of start picking apart country and i would follow after him and and see the quality wise but yeah it was much better than we were expecting there's bucks that came out of the woodworks that we didn't know were there so i bet there was over 20 bucks probably in that basin yeah with like you said four shooters
