When you're first starting out, you are really throwing a lot of spaghetti at the wall.
You're trying to figure out what your secret sauce is, what your ideal audience is, what they really want and need, and where those things have a beautiful Venn diagram and meet together in the middle.
A lot of people start out freelancing, where they let their clients dictate what they want.
They put together a custom proposal for every single client, and they charge hourly.
They really give up a lot of agency to whatever their clients maybe want or desire.
Like I said, if you're in the beginning of your business journey, if you're really scrappy, if you really just like being a freelancer and relying on word of mouth and referrals, you can totally stay in that place.
But often, when you're building a business online, there's a point where you wanna move past that.
You wanna work with more ideal-aligned clients who wanna pay higher rates, and you really wanna be known for something.
You wanna put your stamp on the world and be that, like, go-to person in your niche.
That is your, like, "Here is the way that I can best transform you in this space." And you might already have something like that.
You have your bread and butter offer, the thing that you're known for, the thing that people come to you and wanna book in.
A lot of you might still really need to develop that and figure out what that is because when I look at the creative service provider landscape, what I mostly see is a lot of just generic offers.
You know the ones, like web design package or website copywriting, the kind of offer that could literally be on any copywriter's or website designer's website, and you wouldn't be able to differentiate whether it's for you, whether it's your offer or somebody else's.
And the key to a launchable offer is making sure that it's super clear you are the person that could make this transformation happen.
We have to go deep into the transformation, your unique selling points, your point of view, your personality, and again, where that Venn diagrams with what your audience really needs and desires.
