I want to talk about a moment most family law firms never think about because they never see it.

It happens in private, usually late at night, and it's the real beginning of a client relationship, long before anyone calls your office.

Their relationship is falling apart, or has just ended, or it's become frightening.

The kids are asleep, and they're sitting up with their phone, typing something into Google they haven't been able to say out loud.

What happens to the house? Whether they can stop their partner taking the children.

You're the person who already helped them once, and that's a completely different conversation.
